You might like the Maxon CP9Pro+. You might not like the price. How about a comp identical to a cs-2 or a modded cs-3 circuit? Does this exist? I always wonder why Boss just doesn't make this anyway. Something that really makes your harmonics ping and sustain with a bit of breakup, but can also handle the lows.

A tube overdrive pedal would be nice.
I've thought about this:
Gathering 10 or so investors who REALLY do want something different in a pedal and creating a contest. We each put up $100 so the total grand prize is $1,000. We set a criteria and challenge the pedal builders to compete. It's probably something they've thought about anyway, we're just providing an incentive.
The investors get to demo the pedals - mail them back and forth to each other and pick a winner. The winner has to build one at cost for each of the investors (that way the builder gets to keep all of the prize money but the investors get a pedal they like for next to nothing beyond their original investment.)
Anyone think there would be enough investors/builders?
