So i was looking through my bass collection and decided the thing i need next is an 8 sting, so i figured i'd build it myself. i have every limited experience with 8 stings so i was wondering if anyone has any good specs to start from. i mostly curious about what people like for nut width, final fret width, and string spacing.
secondly i was wondering if anyone has strong opinions about good hardware, i need the most help in the bridge and pickup department.
