Status Message Not Updating on Posts

Not sure this is a bug; and as far as I can tell, doesn't break anything or cause any specific trouble.

But in a conversation started last week, my Status remains the same on all subsequent posts, despite having updated it.

Further, I just checked, and any threads I posted in before the change a) still has my old status message, and b) any new messages still show my old status message.

This post will be a test to see if maybe my new status simply isn't showing up at all--but I think that the problem is that my old status message carries through on any in-progress threads or conversations.

It's just not the behavior I would expect. If I change my Status message, I would expect any new posts to carry that new status.

Aha! The problem (title updated) is that my new status message isn't showing up at all. The old one is stuck.

Help?

I think you may be confusing your "status" update with your custom user title? They're two separate entities...

Not that - turns out I was confusing my signature with my Current Status. The status shows up on the pop-up profile window; the signature shows up on my posts.

I had apparently set them as exactly the same (maybe it was genius-intentional?) - and then forgot. When I changed my status I kept seeing my sig NOT change...
