Hello everyone,

I used extensively the search function but could not find a suitable answer for this.

My problem: the bayonet leg rest of my XL 2 went missing.

I tried to get a used one but could not find a single seller with the item. Is it possible to build a new one? Is there a luthier that does that? Do you know where I could at least get the specs for it?

Thank you very much for your feedback, thumbs up for this great community!

I got one from Andy Yak at Steinberger world. He is an awesome guy and serious keeper of the flame for all things steiny:

As far as I recall (don't have my Hohner B2A with licensed Steinberger parts on me ATM) it's a simple, steel hinge connecting two metal plates. Shouldn't be a particularly hard thing to make.

Edit: and I just re-read and realized you need a bayonet rest. My bad.

Leg rest thickness: 6mm widest, 4mm thinnest, 2mm inner. (it has a vaguely "tub-like" shape)
Leg rest length and width: 110mm, 30mm
Leg rest hinge depth: 12mm

Fixed hinge length, width, thickness: 23mm, 23mm, 7mm
Leg rest angle fully unfolded vs. folded: 135°

Photos to follow tomorrow, hopefully.
