Hello,

I'm looking into getting the effect that my bass and other instruments are moving through 3d space. Not a vintage rotating speaker effect. I want to make sounds swoosh by and away with manual control, live. Any ideas?

they seemed to do this a lot on amnesiac/kid a, especially on "like spinning plates".

There are stereo panning effects, and some of them have expression pedal control. There's also a simple panning "volume pedal". Your best bet is probably one of Eventide's pedal units, in terms of quality, variety of effects, and expression routing. Remember that lows are omnidirectional, so you really only need to pan the mids and highs.
