I don't know any Australians personally, but the sterotype to me is friendly, rough and tumble, good natured, likes to have a good time. I hope that is the case instead of limp wristed, anal retentive, sticks in the mud.

The Aussie male is named Bruce. He has a wife named sheila but he is somewhat philandering (sp?).
He as a youth did much surfing and pot smoking, or aussie rules, rugby (15s and 7s), cricket .
Now as he has reached middle age, he carries large knives about with him, he drinks a lot of castlemain as few aussies like the taste of australian fosters, he likes to fix cars as he thinks hes a mechanic, he eats mainly meat meals 3 times a day and more often than not they are BBQ'd- occasionally he has sea food. He is arrogent and fancies himself as the coolest guy in history.

Ahhh the other Aussie stereotype, mocking Kiwies. Of course New Zealanders give as good as they get. I remember an All Blacks rugby shirt declaring "I support New Zealand or any team playing against Australia"

I am dimly aware that at least one of your political parties wishes to curtail immigration severely. From that I concluded that you have immigrants coming to Australia... I suppose there is also the aboriginal culture that no one has mentioned either...
