So far and for the "song" I got this for I'm having fun. Did some initial cleaning, set up, cosmetic work. Here is the first round. Next will be a SD SMB-4A, an Albridge and some neck polish.

So the next round went a little funky. I rec'd a ceramic SD smb-4d instead of the 4a I ordered. We're giving it a go. So far much more defined than the stock pu. After testing I put the Albridge on. A noticeable improvement in ring and definition. I really did not think this would be the case. However, despite the drawing dimensions showing 20mm string spread, this has 19mm. You can see it in the pic. What do you think, acceptable over the poll pieces? Communications with the seller have been kind of odd. (They went right into talking about Sire bass string spread...... huh?) Despite the "satisfaction guarantee" it doesn't look like I'll be getting the right bridge or 20mm saddles. The only offer is the return. I do like it, I just haven't decided on living with the spacing.

I think that spacing is more than acceptable. Looks great!

The Sub series string spacing is definitely 19mm, 20 would get a little weird on the neck edges. Your spacing over the new p/u looks more than fine.

They're great basses, I've got mine currently dismantled and will be commencing a refinish soon.
