Steve's a killer player. His playing with other people is very good. His own music doesn't connect with me on any level. I wish it did, because I have tons of respect for his abilities and have enjoyed his playing occasionally. This, I think, it why you don't hear as much out of him as Marcus or Vic. Steve is a bass composer. Marcus is a music composer. Vic is a music composer, albeit with tendencies toward bass composing that make his output spotty.
