He has a few but his main bass I'm sure is a '72 with a SD 1/4 pounder and badass bridge.

 

Steve is one of those great players who could pick up any bass in the world and sound like Steve Harris.

Not really my fave band ever, but Steve's a top player for that style of stuff nonetheless.

72 Fender Precision (There were only american made ones back then) fitted with: Badass II Bridge, Mirrorpickguard and custom made Seymour Duncan SPB-1 pickups, Specially wired to be as close as possible to the original pickup.

Now, This is very true! We usualy know our metal!

That i have been a Die hard Harris fan since I started playing probaly counts as well.

 

Why do neither of his kids play bass?


One sings and the other plays guitar.

He's pretty much the best bassist, yet none of his kids play. It confuses me

 

Because most kids don't think it's cool to be exactly like their dad, even if their dad is Steve Harris.
