I bought a double bass used from someone and the previous owner had put a sticker on it. I choose to remove the sticker, but when I removed it the finish get ripped off.
What can I do to fix the finish on the bass?
Ouch! Do not try to do this yourself. I would take your bass to a violin repair shop. A skilled luthier of violins could make the damage almost disappear, using better techniques than the average bass repairer. Of what sort of quality is your instrument and where is the damage. Best wishes.
