rubbing alcohol....i vote burn it off while breathing heavy.....
THC infused bass strings... Now that's bringing the funk. Here in California they might sell those for a premium price at the dispensary.
Moving to Strings. Maybe they offer spell check over there, too.
99% isopropyl alcohol is what I use to clean my bong, and a lot of people swear by it to rejuvenate strings.

I work with some materials that stick to the skin.
Depending on each one, you could try:
Alcohol,
Ether,
Vaseline. You would be surprised by the removal power of Vaseline.

Just sprinkle some absorbent powder on there. It should soak up the wax or resin molecules.

Keep isopropyl alcohol away from the finish. I would remove the strings before using it.
