Still Learning

When bass gear is demo'ed for videos, quite often the bass signal goes from the Line Out of the amp to the input of an audio interface used for recording. In this case the player monitors himself playing from the speaker, be it a combo or full rig. As no microphone is used, the character of the speaker is not captured in the recording.

In order to monitor with other recorded tracks, you would need monitors or headphones coming from the recording equipment (analog or digital), post the bass signal coming in.

I'm still guessing this is what you are talking about.

+1

The tone of a combo bass amp is dominantly a function of the built-in speaker. The use of a line out signal for the audio track in bass amp reviews means that the tone of the amp under review is not what is recorded on the audio track of the review. Most bass amplifiers (the electronics) do have some baked in character, and that is what you will hear (if a good recording was made and if you have decent playback equipment). Often, a review will make clear how the audio track was made.

Practice amps frequently allow a music signal to be mixed in to play along with. Also, if you have the needed adapters, you can run a signal from a computer into either the bass guitar input or the 'aux' (music source) input. Bass amps are primarily designed for... bass playing. However, a few, like the Fender Rumble Studio series and the Rolands are significantly more versatile.

I think so what I seen on youtube was GK Steppenwolf " Born To Be Wild " by Tone Deaf Bassist tried to download but couldn't .

Sooooo..... in an ironic twist of fate, I'm sharing a link to a video on how to share a link to a video.
