i don't think that you'd be happy with a v2 (great tone, but @ 50 watts=not much headroom), however, i do think that a vintage V4B would satisfy your every need.

So assuming they are normal guitarists, and by the x10 rule you need at least 500W.
This is then a non-stock (40W) Leslie.

bassforce, you're just going to have try some rigs out. Hopefully on the job and with your cabinet. That's the only way to know for sure. You can get some directions here, possibly avoid some bad choices but if you get the chance - take 'em for a test drive.
It's not original leslie, and it's solid state I think. But the sound is great. Guitarist are not "normal" guitarists. They like to play, not to make noise

And playing at lower volumes is not a dream. It should ALWAYS be a normal situation to play as silent as possible.
How can you play music when you can't communciate with each other? What about the dynamics?
Playing everything at one volume (and loud) is not music .... it's noise.
As already said, a V4B will get you that "oldschool" sound your looking for,and should match up ok with the 410HLF. But will work really with a sealed cab. IMO.
go on craigslist and get an old fender bassman 200 tube amp. i have always hate amps with a tube post section cuz my pickups are super powerful and its always super distorted especially with the ampeg heads. then i plugged into this old fender rig that looked like it was from the 70's at a random reggae jam with some frinds at my university and it was an unreal tone. mainly super warm but clean and it got a tad bit dirty wen i really dug into the strings it was sweet. there was a bass input and a secondary instrument input. a gain and volume control and a treble and bass controll thats it. it was plugged into an old 215 fender cab

never heard of an 'old Bassman 200 all tube amp'? the only bassman 200 that i know of is the solid state combo.
I don't totally agree with that, but I do agree that the vast majority of musicians out there are too loud for the room.

Based on the examples you've given us (Jamerson, Dunn, Porter, etc.), I think you're goign to be struggling to find the sound you're after with the SVT-3PRO. It's an okay amp, but I was always somewhat underwhelmed by it. For a cheap fix, the VT pedal (as previously mentioned) is probably a good call. Otherwise, something all-tube (V4B, SVT-CL/VR) is probably what it's going to take to get you what you're looking for. That said, when I was using my SVT-CL regularly, I found that I liked it best with a SABDDI in front of it.

I did awhen I saw the OP mention the HLF, but if he likes it, he likes it! I tried out an HLF at my local GC and although I could dial out some of the low-end, there was still too much emphasis on those low frequencies for my tastes.

IMHO, the HLF is all about BIG BOTTOM. Do you want strong mids? You have the ideal bass for punchy mids, I wonder if the HLF is it for this instrument? I used an SWR 1x15 and a 4x10 with my '71 P-bass. It was my ideal for a long long time.
That said, why not borrow a head or two and try them out. Also, what about an LMII?
