stimulus check activity....no politics please...

We will likely be doing similar, plus leaving large tips if we can find places that are still open. We don't need it and I'll put this as gently as possible, it should have been targeted to those that need it.
Kudos, that's where our last one went. The next stimulus check to arrive is earmarked for the county animal shelter.
If I get a check, well, I have my eye on a mint condition, used Spector Euro with the Zebrawood cap at a local downtown, private music store. The owner's a great guy, been around for a long time, and I want to do my part to ensure he stays in business. Do I need it? No, but I'm a firm believer in helping out these local stores. A definite donation to the local food bank is on the agenda as well, because I'm lucky enough to still be working, and man alive, others are not as fortunate.
Going toward the $2900 it’s going to take to get a new transmission so I can drive to work, so I can pay bills.
But hey, Tom Brady got just under $1,000,000 to help his poor little wellness company. The money is obviously going where it should.
I’m actually not wanting or needing anything gear related. I don’t know whether I should be happy or sad....
Hopefully your vehicle is perfect in every other way because I would absolutely never recommend putting $2900 into a used vehicle.

Exactly, it stimulates the economy...I’m pretty sure people spending the money was the whole idea of this thing, to stimulate the economy. You know, what one person spends, another person earns...
So I think to do it properly, we need to be buying new basses, which will help keep luthiers and other bass people employedof course, services are great too, like Zoom lessons.
for me, I made the ultimate mistake and allowed my wife to take over finances, so I can’t sneak in any bass purchases without her noticing
I’m trying to sell gear because of no more gigging, but I will still keep some to gig in the foreseeable future, my check will be going to pay off the tires I had to get for my pickup truck back in September, cant gig without a reliable vehicle...
You know it is possible that some people are worse off than others and need all the help they can get.
And even if some people blow it on frivolous purchases that is still beneficial to the economy as it will likely be spent several more times until it ends up under a dragon I mean in Jeff Bezos' pile (or similar terminus).

I'm in the camp with both you and Bunk. The last stimulus check I gave to a high school friend who was COVIDly unemployed. This round I have a friend who lost his house insurance and an acquaintance who needs a liver transplant. I could use the stimulus check; those guys need it. So y'all can just call me pass-through pork.
I plan to donate mine to political candidates in Georgia. I won't say to which candidates, since politics are not allowed, but I will say that it won't be going to the two investors.

being wrong all of the time = bad.
being right all of the time = bad.
per the OP: i'll figure out some way to stimulate the economy...even if i have to do it one beer at a time.
