"Stinger" bass amp?

We're playing some concerts abroad, and our contact there has organized renting a backline for us. The info on the bass amp is simply

"Stinger (600 watt) + Ampeg cabinet for bass."

Does anyone know what kind of amp this is?

A friend of mine has a Stinger 10w practice amp that is a piece of garbage. And overall it isn't a good brand of amps.

ALWAYS bring your own stuff to the gig. If you like what's on stage, leave your amp and cab in the car.

I normally do that, but you see we're flying in, and thus weight and transportation are issues of great concern...

Oh, yes, now I see you already mentioned that in your 1st post.

Don't you have (or know a fellow bass player who has) a small class-d amp which you could borrow and bring along in your suitcase? This way you'd be on the safe side.
