Stingray by Sterling by Musicman???

I was looking through Ikebe, and just found these....Am I a bit slow? ??
They're averaging about $900-1000 US BRAND NEW
Considering the price, and does anyone know anything about these?
They seem to come in Ray34's, which are 4 strings, and Ray35's, which are 5 strings

Anyway, anyone tried any of these yet? The price of these is kinda shocking for a MM

Comparable isn't nailed, build quality isn't the same and not much more than that is putting you into a decent used ray's price territory. I didn't say they were total crap, I just said they were nothing to do backflips over. That being said, I could have phrased it better when I said what I know about them. The second comment I made was more what I knew people had been saying for the most part. I have only come across one and I dug it ok, but for 750 I could get a 44-01 that I would much prefer.

Check the OP on this thread for my point about price

Careful, I made those points a while back and became equal to the antichrist to a lot of people.

Eh, screw em. At least I am not bashing P basses.

Bottom line, that price range opens the door to SOOOOOO many great instruments from just about every major manufacturer, and when you consider that, it's easy to see why not that many of thsoe basses are "special". It's hard to be first among equals.
