Stingray classic 5 string dilemma flats or round growl

I'm in a little bit of a dilemma, I have a stingray classic 5 with cobalt rounds on it.
I love sound of fresh cobalts, super clear and they have the got growl like a pack of wolves!!

But listening to Bernard Edwards and cliff Williams stingray with flats really is satisfying too


I play a lot of slap and finger style
And I sometimes incorporate a pick


Really into growl but not sure wher to go, la Bella?

La Bella flats are the last thing you want for what you're after.

If you like the Cobalt rounds, why not try the Cobalt flats? They're known for more growl than any other flats.

Try afew out I like la Bellas on my stingray as it gives makes the low end come out abit more. The stock pickups are abit weak in the low frequencies so it helps

That's interesting. The Stingray Classics that I had had lots of low end.

I found the mids help bring it out more

I played Chromes on my SR5 for many years. It had plenty of growl.

Whatever Pino used on the Paul Rodgers Muddy Water Blues album. I was listening to it last night. Growl doesn't even begin to cover it. Fretless Ray for sure.
