Stingray question

There appears to be a plastic film over the pickguard on my new Stingray. Is this supposed to come off?

It's just the protective film on the PG from the manufacturer. Take it off.

It's just a protective film found on most new pick guards and other new components such as the face plate of a new amp.
It's meant to come off. It will likely start to peel off eventually if you leave it on.

It's there for consumer's euphoria... Like when you pull the protective film of the screen off a new iPhone... It's supposed to make you feel good. They study that stuff you know. Pull it off.

Works for me! Until you get to the screws and some of the plastic is stuck under them:-/ Then I cuss.
