Can anyone tell me the stock strings and gauges on the Sandberg California series?
I've done some research into this and am confused now.
From what I have read, the stock strings are definitely steels and they are in 40-60-80-100 gauges.
A lot of people have suggested these are GHS Super Steels made to Sandberg specs. That would make sense has GHS do not do the Super Steels in a standard 40-100 gauge.
What confuses me is that I have not got confirmation about the core being used on these Sandberg strings. I cannot find the info anywhere on the web. The only shop that does list the core info is here:
Sandberg Bass Strings 4-String (40-100) | Bass Buddha
They have it has roundcore. GHS SS are hexcore. I have emailed the seller asking if this is correct or not.
The mystery continues...
