I'm kinda surprised more of us don't own a Dunwich Wizard Fuzz or a GT120 Fuzz.
(or a rackmount pre with a gt120 gain stage built in)
So is the answer, no one is as heavy as Bongripper?
Yeah I am still trying to learn all the Dunwich pedal flavors.

Ok I thought Muff based. Yeah I made the fuzz face mistake, the first pedal I ever bought from Stomp Boost, was a sweet gutair pedal but did nothing with bass.
I haven't had much luck using fuzz face/based fuzzes with bass. I think they Oxfuzz is FF based and it sounds decent, but in general they're pretty fussy and they tend to get kind of blown out and farty sounding real quick with bass. I love FF based fuzzes for guitar, but none of mine have sounded useable with my basses.
This is what I've heard from other people. I asked a pedal builder friend of mine if he could make a FF for bass and he said "Probably not."

I got VFE Rat, a Pickle Pie, Green Rhino, Pork Loin, and a modded ODB-3. I guess I am wondering if I could do better than the ODB-3 for distortion and also maybe an even darker fuzz.
I stopped searching for a replacement for the Grey Stache when I A/B'd it with a Bluebeard and preferred the GS. It'll always be the "base tone" first-in-the-chain always-on dirt. I'd like to try out some Dunwich fuzz as a "fuzz +1".. but admittedly my only reason for Dunwich GAS is hanging out here and seeing cool etched boxes all the time

Well I dig videos of the Dunwich stuff and hate to over look any builders when researching pedals. I tend to have a lot of pedals because of playing both bass and guitar. Like I don't care for the Green Rhino with bass prefer the Pork Loin for light OD but really enjoy the Rhino with my guitar and the love my VFE El Raton with guitar on multiple setting but like most rats it needs a little help boost on the low end. The ODB-3, Pickle Pie, and Pork Loin makes me smile with both bass and guitar
I still like mine a lot. It's fifth in line as backup

Wizard is a mix of FET and JFET boosts with two Muff style clipping stages and a Baxandall tone stack + FAC.
Cthulhu IS the Pyramid, just renamed, which is a one knob Meathead style Fuzz Face variant.
Volt Thrower is a heavily modified RAT, with extra gain stages (2 LM308, multiple LED stages) and a Baxandall style tone stack.
He's got the GT120 pedal on the way, the Murder Two, the modified HM-2 and some others. What's the count on the tour box now, 10 pedals?

But I have been tempted to buy a Sasquatch pedal just because it has Bigfoot painted on it lol.
In most cases they don't. It's kind of hard to find a good one IMO. Best I've found is the WM and that's one trick + expensive.
