Stoner/Doom Bassist Thread Part 13: The Lost Thread

Found an Orange Bass Terror 1000 new for under $800, thinking of pulling the trigger.

Been also looking at the Peavey Classic 400 - was only mildly interested but now that I can't find one for sale anywhere, I really want one. lol

There's a Peavey Classic 400 here in Washington that I'd like to get my hands on. Looks like a effin' beast, man. 8 6550 tubes! Holy moly.

The Greek Lentil burgers are made from lentils, chickpeas, eggs and other ingriedients. Once I figure out my home PC situation, I can pm you my favorite veggie recipes if you want.

I'll just have to consult one of my veggie cookbooks, don't sweat the PM.

A VERY easy and quick veggie recipe is: chopped veggies (pretty much any you want) tossed in olive oil, balsamic vinegar, sea salt, and pepper, tossed into the broiler, over rice/barley/quinoa. I like to do it with brussel sprouts/peppers/onions/garlic/cauliflower.

Well, here's what I recommend: go get yourself a big old vegetarian cookbook, and simply flip through it, when you find a recipe that makes you say "Hmmm, might be good.", then make that recipe.

When I hear people say they don't like most veggies, it's because they don't like the way they have had them prepared in that way. There's WAY more ways to cook a veggie than just steaming them.

Great tip, I went on a canoe trip from hell with some hippy friends about three years back. And one of the guys who has a vegetarian wife but is a meat eater made this awesome wrap for lunch, had these peppers seasoned just right, and sprouts and it was so simple but so good. I thought man if I could figure that out I could go vegetarian for sure. My heart is there to get away fromt he meat. I just haven"t found the taste for veggies yet, and need to learn to doctor them up. My other problem is I hate cheese besides a little mozzarella on pizza, so I don't leave much room after that fro sauces and such.

I'm so tired of being sick almost every weekend. blah.

So, starting to wonder if I'll ever have a gear fund again. PC broke. Looking at laptops now. $700 for the one I want... this sucks.

Yeah never ending sick, migraines, gout, no immune system to speak off, why I am hoping diet witll change that and all my goofy posts about healthy eating of a bass forum lol

So juicer or blender(eating the pulp)?

I'd go for the blender. if you make smoothies you can vary more with ingredients than you could with a juicer. my smoothie philosophy is that as long as there is more of one ingredient (berries, banana, apple, etc.) than the others, you're safe.

I stopped using my juicer because of the cleanup issues mentioned by someone here. Also, I felt that I didn't get enough juice out of the veggies (carrots, for instance).
