Stoner/Doom Bassist Thread Part 13: The Lost Thread

So any of you health-conscious doomers, do the juicer thing? I hate most veggies and think this might be a good way to eat better. No soley juicing but a way to help get back on track and away form processed foods.

Well, here's what I recommend: go get yourself a big old vegetarian cookbook, and simply flip through it, when you find a recipe that makes you say "Hmmm, might be good.", then make that recipe.

When I hear people say they don't like most veggies, it's because they don't like the way they have had them prepared in that way. There's WAY more ways to cook a veggie than just steaming them.

Lunapolis was good. The very-thinly veiled jab at Scientology was a hoot.

Yeah I loved how they threw that in there. I love when they bring the machine back and they starting guinea pigging themselves to use, like yeah right, just start flipping switches. Loved the intense scene of almost getting caught when they stole the machine too, my heart was racing one of them is going to get caught get out of there lol

Found an Orange Bass Terror 1000 new for under $800, thinking of pulling the trigger.

Been also looking at the Peavey Classic 400 - was only mildly interested but now that I can't find one for sale anywhere, I really want one. lol

I'm really digging mine that I got last week. Really cool little amp, that is shockingly loud.

I'm making veggie Salisbury Steak later this week.

Most recipes can still be used if you sub the ground beef for veggie crumbles (I'm doing Amy's brand veggie patties for this recipe). I have a recipe for a greek lentil burger that will blow your socks off (Chickpeas are your weight loss friend).

Just googled it looks yuuuuuuuuummyy. Do you think it could be done with regular patties? veggie patties are still rather expensive around here.

Which recipe? Salisbury Steak? Sure, but then you might as well get the microwave swanson family style. The health part is the veggie patty. Less fat, less calories, more protien.

The Greek Lentil burgers are made from lentils, chickpeas, eggs and other ingriedients. Once I figure out my home PC situation, I can pm you my favorite veggie recipes if you want.

Sweet potato enchilladas are awesome.
