Stoner/Doom Bassists #64 - sensitive artsy emo chicks

I wouldn't mind a VT Bass again. I had a deluxe and dug it.

Still haven't had time to plug in the Berg, hopefully today, but no band so I can't really rock that bitch in my house. I'm stoked to have the higher freq driver in there since I'd like to get into more mod, delay & reverb effects that didn't translate well with the Emperors.

On the Emperor topic, I'm in the same camp as Sam with his 8x10. Sometimes I loved it, other times I hated it and thought I was missing something. They were loud as hell though and I'm still not convinced these "designed" cabs are going to be as crazy as the Emperors.

As for Julian always recommending his set up, there is something to it. That '66 is bad ass no doubt and the CL400, if you can find one, is a phenomenal head with huge tube power on the cheap, again, IF you can find one. That's the main reason I went for a CL400 since I can't afford an SVT. It's got a huge range of tones also. Win.

i have a VT bass, version 1 that i dont use. PM me if you have any cool dirt pedals youd like to trade for it or something

Morning Gents:

Here's a new tune were working on here at Shitbox Studios. After some time behind the desk I feel our slogan should be "**** it! We'll fix it in post".

This is just basic guitars and bass to a click track for our drummer to practice with. No solos yet. It's a little choppy because I broke it up by BPM.

Peace!

I like the riffs and the tones, good job man.

We had Warp Rig practice last night, after a couple weeks off because of just unfortunate timing, family obligations and stuff. I ran the Dunwich preamp into my Crest Pro-Lite 2.0 into my Dually and 810e. I had the volume on the preamp cranked to about 1 o'clock and the volume on the power amp up to around 3 o'clock and I was just noodling around, before kicking on any pedals. Our guitarist had to ask me to stop playing for a minute because "I'm trying to tune, but your bass tone is making my eyes shake so much I can't read my tuner".

SUCCESS :bassist:

Well, guys...here goes nothing. I'm selling off a bunch of my gear at super low prices in attempt to score something supremely badass

GAS is a beeatch. I keep dropping prices on cool stuff to get even cooler stuff, lol. I am getting down to a more managable amount of pedals though. I still want to add a Tremolo and maybe a vibrato type pedal, I still like to play a lot of clean guitar and modulation is so nice to add a bit of sustain, and of course through some fuzz or dirt with them is a blast too. I want to try the Hardwire Tremolo Tr-7 since is does so many things but not sure I will get along with a digital pedal, I usually sell the digital ones off, but it would be nice to have one pedal, for multiple tremolos, and vibe and tap tempo. Anyone dig or not dig the Hardwire Tremolo pedal. Thinking of snatching up a EQD Bit Commander too compare to my MXR Octave Fuzz too. I listed that Analogman Chorus because I just can't justify keeping that pricey a pedal that I dont use often, as cool and the best chorus I ever heard.

Dude, you're not kidding. If I can pull these strings and move this gear I will be one happy man.

I know instead of selling and buying a little a time, and then kicking myself for not trimming back some and letting a nice chunk of cash for a rainy day GAS fund build up so I can snatch the uber awesome deals that pop up without trying to move anything, but hard to fight the fun of buying and selling. Man I dig that Squire you are selling!

lol buy it! I'd be willing to ship to one of you guys... :D

I am selling my pj to concentrate on the Warwick and the Waterstone Fackenbacker or I would buy it, if you didn't need score cash I would be enticing you with a trade for The Surf Green Pharoah with your name on it and cash for it, but trying to keep myself to two basses. Get you some of those boxes that you can ship the neck in and ship the neck and body separate, shipping is a little easier that way.
