I remember seeing Tragedy there and it was god awful compared to when I saw them at Gilman 6-7 years before. I was thinking about going to Mammoth Grinder tonight but trying to ask around if anyone from down here is heading up because I only have the tour van as transportation at the moment, haha. But yeah, The Metro is weird in sound. I've only been to one sold out show there which is the only show that didn't feel like the band was having an "off night", but it happen to be an old hardcore band I loved back when I was younger; Amercian Nightmare. But almost every band I watch there seems to feel and sound odd compared to anywhere else.

Wasn't anything wrong with the sound last night (well, except for Swamp Witch sounding a little muddy, heh heh), just I think it probably wasn't one of Eyehategod's better nights.

Graves at Sea would have been worth it just on their own, though, so it was fine. Most of the shows I've been to at the metro have been pretty good.

Which Bass VI do you have Pelham?

After years and years of wanting to get my hands on a Fender Bass VI but finding the vintage prices super crazy($5,000+) and the Japanese reissue prices($1,500+) cost prohibited I didn`t get one.

Then just as I was about to buy a Hellcat VI (which I still think are cool) Fender released the Pawn Shop Bass VI. I couldn't resist a new Fender Bass VI in candy apple red(with matching head stock) for $799.
I love mine!
You`re right,you have to put a heavier set of strings on it to really make it shine.
The VI is such a creative tool to have. I love running fuzz through it with some delay. Bass lines or guitar leads sound sweet through it.

I`m very close to ordering a Squire Bass VI to keep my Fender VI company. I`d like to have one due to it being closer to the original specs(compared to the Pawn Shop`s factory "mods") and I really want one in Olympic White with that bound n` blocked neck.

I've seen both Black Cobra and Uzala. The latter I thought had some excellent music, but still felt kinda hollow. I mean, obviously this is just my opinion and doesn't really matter, but of the no-bass bands I've seen (Dark Castle, Black Cobra, Uzala, Dwell, The Body, Lidtoker), Dark Castle was the only one that really felt full to me. I guess maybe it has to do with the drums being there without bass sounding strange to me.

It's all the pedals Dunwich has ready for production. All the stuff that's on the current preorder list, plus a couple others that are coming soon and a Shrine fuzz from Magic, who did the assembly for Nick on the new pedals. The purpose of the tourbox is to let people try them out, make demos, give reviews and feedback.

Sounds a bit more versatile than the OC-2, especially for the lower parts.

Squier VI, sunburst. I like the Oly White, too. Once you get it set up right it's really really nice. Such a great value. And fuzz rules on it. I love my big green Sovtek and my big green Sublime with it.

THey are locals here. Darcy is using the Avatar 412 with v30's I sold her husband/guitarist Chad.

Cool sounds, great people. Darcy is also one of the more impressive tattoo artists I've seen. Definitely worth a check if you're into that kind of thing.

Yeah, I've gotten to hang with them a couple times. Great people.

Darcy is also using our guitarist's old Laney. He had traded it to chad for a Sunn which has also been traded away at this point.

Well, I got a bunch of demo clips recorded for the tourbox. Fingerstyle and picking clips of various settings of the ODB, Volt Thrower, DA120OD and Modded HM-2. I'm going to try to get the rest done after dinner, then start on guitar demos tomorrow. They should be up on Soundcloud by Monday, I think.

Hey everybody, final day of NAMM. Too much to report on right now, the past 3 days are just a blur of meetings and long, expensive dinners. Spotted Billy Sheehan, Charlie Benate and Vinnie Paul yesterday. Played around with a hollow body hagstrom bass yesterday, sounded great, was a little disappointed with the build quality.
