So I'm thinking about picking up an Octave pedal (I've been on a bit of an effects spending spree lately) and have zero experience with them personally.

What kind do you guys use and or recommend that I check out?

I use a Foxrox Octron. It is thick and meaty. A boss oc-2 is also a highly recommended.

Ring thing (polyphonic and programmable/used $125-$150)
Boss OC-2 MIJ there is a difference (monophonic synthy $50-$100 used)
Alot or real deal folks like the octron

People prefer the OC-2 I believe. Don't know why.

It's only down octaves. I like having octave up or down.

I like the octave up and down of the Octron.

I'm going to look into that pedal as well as the mini pog a bit more.

What is it that you didn't like about it?

Needs the wall wart to run 100% and it sounded a little bland, it was cool but just a little sterile. It is digital FWIW.

i had it, but it doesn't have the rich, syth quality of the oc2. i love the oc2! the oc3 just sounded thin in comparison.

if you want a purer sounding octave, the ebs octobass is really nice. the line 6 m5/9/13 has an ebs octobass setting, an octave down fuzz, and the digitech whammy octaves.

Yeah I want octave up and down pedal but I think I'm gonna save for the pog2 I really like the attack function's possibilities. And that its programmable.

Just curious, how many of you guys have tried the Fender Bassman 300? I got mine back in working order the other day and realized it has the most gnarly buzzsaw overdrive with my P bass. When I blended in the cleans with a little low comp, it was crazy heavy. I tried for weeks to get Ampeg SVTs to sound half as wild.
