This is just a giant cluster****. Good cat wouldn't start again today, called a tow truck. After waiting 4 hours i decided to yank the battery and take a cab to get a new battery. As soon as i call the cab the tow truck driver shows up. No advance call saying that they're on the way. So i bought a new battery, now I'm waiting for ride back home so i can install the battery, then take the car for an oil change. After all of that i can worry about the hyundai with the blown engine.

Sorry man, that is brutal.

My baby has tubes.

when they first diagnosed him both my wife and I laughed. The kid got an SVT way before I ever did :) the doc did not get the joke.

In other news, i put a ridiculously low bid on a Moog Phaser on eBay and ended up winning it. It just arrived today. This is the most natural, warm, lush phaser I have tried yet. I don't have time to hook it up to the rest of my board to see how it sounds with OD and fuzz though but I have a feeling I should have bit the bullet on this a long time ago. Would have saved me lots of money.

off to the hospital for a visit with Jr.

Well, back at home, new battery installed, oil changed. The good car is up and running again, it still had the original battery from 2007 in it. It still needs the water pump replaced, but I think a friend of ours is going to help us with that. So I can just buy the parts and some food and/or drink for the friend. She has tools, a garage and knowledge, all three of which I am lacking in varying amounts.

Still no word on the Hyundai with the blown engine, but I was able to narrow down my choice of mechanic, two good referrals, one from a cab driver and one from another shop in town. Repair won't be cheap, but the guy is going to work with me and give me some options. I just need to get it looked at to determine exactly what exploded and how much damage it did.

I'm ****ing frozen, tired and hungry. Haven't slept in two days and I'm worn out. Off to pick up my wife from work and figure out how I'm going to get to work the rest of the week.

Serenity now.

There's some crazy features you can pull off with the moog phaser. If you plug in an expression pedal to....I forget which input, but when you do so, it seperates the 12 stage phaser into two independent 6 stage phasers you can run at different rates (one based off the knob setting, and the other off the exp pedal).

Did the heard thin, because usually this thread flies a mile a minute...

I can't wait to record. After all this time, we are solid as we have ever been. We have a few shows under our belt. Maybe it's time for t-shirts and other merch. Since no one in our band is artistic, what do you guys do for art? Like, how do you buy a design? What's a typical cost (per hour/straight fee/percentages)? Is there a different expectation on album vs shirt vs anything else, cost wise?

Once we have a design, I can find somewhere to print it. Just coming up with something we feels represents a culmination of our artistic ideas. A cat-shark creature, with a shoulder mounted laser and crazy skull spear, riding a giant lizard beast... yeah, that's it. ;)
