Yeah, but that's most of the allure. If they looked butt ugly, you wouldn't get it for the tone. Trust me. (you'd get a Jazz bass )

I would definitely rock one of those Rickenfaker P basses, though.

Vintage Gibson amps/cabs should be bought with the only intention of being eye candy. They're overpriced for what they are and were never very good, aside from maybe a few select models for guitar. There's a reason Gibson stopped making amps. So you end up paying for the Gibson badge really.

My copy is from the first pressing. I should sell it for $130 and buy another one from Ron.

I've seen some insane prices for Black Sabbath and Electric Wizard vinyl. Bums me out.

Dude it really bums me out when I see people selling our records for excessive amounts of money especially when they put them up as soon as they get them.

The most I saw one of the SWD records go for was $250. And someone also sold a heroin CD for $80 (the cd only version not even the full drug box set).

Don't get me wrong it's flattering that people want our records that much, but I don't think anyone should have to pay more than what we are selling them for. We keep our prices as low as possible because we love what we do and this isn't a business, every dollar we make goes back into putting out more records shirts and music. With a couple of exceptions nearly every release we've done has been self released and self distributed no help from anyone except the people who dig our music and have supported us over the years. And for that, I'm truly grateful.

Speaking of vinyl, got Bongripper - The Great Barrier Reefer in the mail this week and forgot to pick up the old Marantz at moms so I could listen to it...

Yo mang, I got a Ric, white and black 76' 4001. I never used it in Bongripper, but it has been used in CSTVT, MZRCDXVL, and Consent. Also I play it most every day as its the bass I keep at home.
