Hopefully I'll have the opportunity (and the empty house) to get to it this weekend... I want to take straight tones, with and with various fuzz /dirt, and then on the boosted setting, although it pretty much brings the DOOM.

Do you guys ever offer to snap pics for other bands? I just sent the denver band a note to let them know I could take some pics for them since I'm coming straight from practice. Maybe they won't think I was too much of a jerk about the tapes...Anyways, today is going to be awesome.

I need to get off my a** and make some clips of the EBS Multidrive this weekend, I meant to do it last weekend. It worked out pretty as a light tube-ish sounding OD for Cold Mourning practice last week and that jam last Saturday, running into the MB800 with the Ray34CA. Going to try it out with the SB4000 tonight.
That guitarist finally got back to me, I guess I was just impatient. He wants to get together and try to write some original material together, but he also was pretty insistent about wanting to get down some of his already written songs. Which were good, but not really what I want to do for a band. Undecided on all that, I need to process it a while.
Oh the ever swinging pendulum. Do you proceed with a project you aren't 100% on board with because forming a band is hard, or hold out to do what you want to do with the possibility of it never coming to fruition?
I will say that when Supervoid formed, it wasn't necessarily 100% exactly what I was looking to do, but I definitely helped mold it in that direction. Now I'm extremely happy with our sound.

Flat packed beds! but yea the refrigerator and couches were a problem kinda (two door kind) but we got it in. So yea I sleep comfortably and we don't resort to primitive curing techniques and cool burial for food preservation. Though I do like making hardtack for some civil war reminiscing.

Cool show tonight. Us, Sistered, and October. First show with the new song and shirts. Sistered and October have a pretty heavy local following and they're doing a 7" split release show, so it should be a good turn out.
You guys are making all the right moves. I love it.
On a side note, my guitar player forgot to mention he got a new job. He also forgot that he is working tonight. Practice is cancelled for the next 2 weeks because next week, I'm out of town starting Weds.
Third time practice has been cancelled the day of. I feel like we all get along, so I don't want this to be an issue... He already has admitted that he is horrible at communicating with people. But, c'mon man...
Pics I'm doing would be courtesy. Not a pro camera or anything. There was a guy in town here that would take pics of bands and then give a biz card for the band to go to his site and "buy" the pics, like if you went to a theme park or something...

If he has songs written, it may be some common ground to start with. Then you could evolve from there or maybe make some necessary changes. If the guys are cool and the communication is good, I say give it a shot and see where it goes. As you get to know one another burn him se of the stuff your liking and see if he's open to it. Could be a case of under exposure
So yes, I say schedule a few jams practices and see what potential there is for growth even if it isn't your ideally sludgy wet dream at the moment.
Committing myself to record clips just makes me want to run downstairs and play even more.
