My wife and I have an arrangement for a tube amp, once she wants to get a new dog. (a few years down the road, but I'll wait patiently)

Toastfuzz said:I've bought and sold 4 different fuzz/drive pedals to unseat my Grey Stache from its mighty throne. The last one was the Bluebeard, I figured if anything could do it, it'd be the BB. While the BB was good, it wasn't as good... and I accept that as a final victory for the Grey Stache and haven't GASed for another primary dirt since. Of course, YMMV and all that jazz.

I like your mix of pedals. I have been interested in picking up a Rusty Box to possibly replace my PBDDI. I go back and fourth in this one. Right now, I also have an MRX BFD that I am sort of luke warm on. That Grey Stache looks like a song possibility. Either that or maybe SS/BS Team Awesome fuzz.
If my Acoustic ends up sh**ing the bed permanently, then I'll be shopping for a high wattage pure power amp, and use the Rusty fulltime. Honestly a Rusty Box + poweramp would be a super solid / fairly inexpensive backup rig, should the 70's vintage rig shut down on me.I'll probably never sell it, since its such a useful little box, but unfortunately when i get my Acoustic amp back it'll be redundant again and go back on the shelfIf my Acoustic ends up sh**ing the bed permanently, then I'll be shopping for a high wattage pure power amp, and use the Rusty fulltime. $15 for a enclosure, switch, PS, and 2 jacks (I got them just incase, they were like $1.50 each, who cares. BOSS's pcb mounted I read correctly, which was why I asked).
and $30 for shipping, that's straight up cra cra.
I like the Pre power amp set up, your amp controls are at your feet with all your other pedals.
So, what was the final verdict of Baroness's Green and Yellow? Doing a big All That Is Heavy order as my christmas present, and its on sale. Listening to Yellow right now and really not impressed.
I bought a Dwarfcraft The Great Destroyer kit awhile back, royally fudged it up and scrapped the project, but I have the enclosure / pots / PS / jacks / switch / etc. sitting here. Want em?
How did you fudge it up? How are the instructions for it? I thought about buying the kit.
, I think it had something to do with embarking on a complex and unfamiliar electronics project (I'd never done a pedal before
. The first goof I installed the LED backwards and powered it on, not realizing an LED has a + and -
, and he sent me a new LED and chip. I installed the new LED and chip in (what I thought was) the correct formation
, or maybe I'd made another mistake the first time around
