Same story here. The God donuts are like $2.50 a piece. Yea, We've had the fancy coffee-donut joints here for sometime, but the newest thing around are those fancy designer cup-cake places (The "Muff'n Man" intro plays in My head everytime I pass by one). The one up in the village has taken a lot of money from My wife since it opened. They look nice and all, but $9.00 for a couple of cup-cakes is a bit silly-IMO.
That cupcake stuff is ******** but girls go apepoopie over it like they never existed before?
My ex was a pastry chef so she was always laughing at the trends that hook people.
For example cake ball trend - when cakes get stale and you can't sell it, squeeze it into a ball, dip in chocolate and stick a stick in it and sell for more.
Edit: so a bulls poop is a bad word, but monkey poop is A O.K.

Yea, gimmicks is all it is. Make's people a living I'd guess, so I can't knock it.

It's like Chicken Wings all over again, hey lets take that part of the chicken everyone throws out, deep fry it, and slap some sauce on it, and they will spend more than a steak dinner to buy a bucket, but damn I love em!!! Can't get good wings down here like back home, but Ir eally screwed up and picked Quaker Steak and Lube over Buffalo Wild WIngs, should of stuck to my usual joint, actually I should get off my lazy but and but one of those big arse bags of frozen ones from Wallyworld and sauce em up myself!!!

Haha, very true. I find it quite funny that You can buy the boneless chicken breasts, way cheaper than a bag of wings, and it's a better cut of the bird. Best wings I've ever had surprisingly enough came from a Chinese Resturant near My old job. They did this braised deal that was awesome.
Might have to pm me if it's too much for the public, I need to know now.
Also deth can't make that red fang show, this is finals and projects due time, I'll be a hermit more so than usual.
Whoa, that is slick! Is that a 115? I'd love to see my mammoth Peavey F800 atop it!
