Stoner/Doom Bassists Thread Part 82: Comfortable with Derision

Oh man, what's up with all that?

Hey, that tele looks righteous BTW. Didn't have any idea that those necks had a square heel. How's she play/sound?

It has a round heal so there is a little section that looks a little off from the square heal and the pickguard but not enough to really mess the looks up. The old Korean Squier II's have such killer necks, feel great and look stunning with the grain and the tint of the neck that I thought why not give it a run on the tele body. And I love Tele's with strat necks. Sounds good, I may order one of those GFS mini humbuckers that fit in the P90 slots in the neck position. I still need to intonate it and if I can get it spot on then the strat body goes on ebay and this is going in the keeper bin.

Not sure all the details on the Bassic yet but it was going through Fedex, poor Mark and I are nervous wrecks now.

Cool on the tele! Yea, a friend of Mine, has one of those MIK era Fender strats that's really nice. At one point, I had one of the tele's that was nice as well.

Whoa, that sucks on Your bassic. Is it just lost?

I lent a guy money today, but people pay me back. I give them to the day and wait plus two silently, and if they haven't made the effort we discuss what's up and I'm not being a dick so it gets sorted fine.

I could say it's luck, or good friends and they are, but really I'm very good at doing what people need precisely when they really need something done even if they aren't totally aware they need it done so everyone always has me in high esteem.

1. I never let people know I don't like them
2. When I can afford to give I always do
3. I very seldom ask for anything

With those rules and carefully selected friends all will be well and you'll always get what you want unexpectedly I guess by virtue of your kindness.

Oh and I try very hard to make everyone laugh as often as possible. No one walks away angry if they laugh the whole time.

+ over 9000!!!!

Dude abides

congrats on the future little dude corey

Cool. I'm sure they'll get it too You soon enough. The Lard willing and all that.

Yeah, I have such bad luck I almost feel bad for people I place orders with for stuff, if it can get lost it will get lost if I am involved, the guy building the body had to build another one for me and he gave the first one to his brother-in-law, lol. My Mother jokes that my brother got all the good luck and I got all the bad luck, my life is a perpetual Catch 22 lol.

Late to the party: congrats on the munchkin Corey!

New boss starts today, meet her once at a trade show last year. Seems nice, but i have no idea what's it'll be like to work for her.

So I'll be avoiding the non work related web browsing for awhile. Whee!

Haha, yep same here. I was just thinking about the time, a few years ago, when I had bought a bass from a fella on here, and the guy at the UPS store He used to ship it, reversed a couple of digits on the ship to. Bass got delivered to the wrong address on the same street. I basically, had to go door to door "jehova's witness" style till I found the house. Luckily enough, the folks at the address were good honest folks.
