Thanks guys!! I'm feelin all the stoner/doom love, passing the congrats on to my wife as well. I would have posted sooner, I checked in this morning on my new smart(er than the old one) phone, but I was busy hanging out with the wife, getting brunch and chopping down a christmas tree.

Wow so an older friend of mine gave me $300 and said "for the guitar fund" awesome stuff.

That pretty much buys the bass vi for me.

So bought some dog kennels over the weekend, bought three 6 x 10's in great shape for $120 and they threw in a fourth that just needs some new sections of screening. Thought the picture of the loaded truck and trailer was kind of funny.


And was bored so popped the neck off my Korean Squier II Strat and slapped it on the Squier P90 loaded tele body Jmac sold me. I dig it. I was going to make a baritone out of it, but think I am just going to sell off the strat body as I love the neck already and dig the looks of the body with a strat neck.

Typically the SM7B's go for $250-$300 used. They're about $350 new, but they tend to retain their value pretty well, because they're sought after and built like a tank. Unless someone used it as a hammer, buying a used one is just about as good as buying a new one.

I lent a guy money today, but people pay me back. I give them to the day and wait plus two silently, and if they haven't made the effort we discuss what's up and I'm not being a dick so it gets sorted fine.

I could say it's luck, or good friends and they are, but really I'm very good at doing what people need precisely when they really need something done even if they aren't totally aware they need it done so everyone always has me in high esteem.

1. I never let people know I don't like them
2. When I can afford to give I always do
3. I very seldom ask for anything

With those rules and carefully selected friends all will be well and you'll always get what you want unexpectedly I guess by virtue of your kindness.

Oh and I try very hard to make everyone laugh as often as possible. No one walks away angry if they laugh the whole time.

Also, +1 on the laughter thing. I'm surprised so many people, especially people in managerial positions, don't understand how to talk to people. Whenever one of my staff ****s up on the job, I always make the effort to make the meeting a little more light hearted so I'm not so much scolding them as I am giving them feedback and getting theirs back. Usually, that involves humour and leaving things on a good note rather than telling them off and leaving at that. No one wants to work like that. Also, I've noticed people will take on my feedback a lot better if I speak to them rather than at them. Common sense, really.

I made some tree cupcakes cause it's the season. Man they were so special they don't taste like cake anymore. I ate three. Edit: as the only food I've had in over 24 hours.

Man I hate Christmas music, but my grandma used to have this record or more I was too young, but they were like radio shows from the 40's doing Christmas Songs and interview, jokes etc, talking about the boys overseas and such funny to have nostalgia for fake nostalgia.

I work in HR for an aged care home. Most of my day is taken up by talking to employment agencies trying to get more workers and volunteers into the home. The rest of the day is dealing with staff issues like rostering, complaints and incidents.

Fortunately, the incidents are minimal but every now and then something happens that really ruins your day. Just a few weeks back I had to sack one of the cleaners for fighting with one of the residents. On the spot dismissal. You just don't fight with a resident...least of all one with dementia. My hands were tied there, there was no discussing anything with that cleaner about what went down.

Christmas is great over at my end. I come from a South American background and we celebrate Christmas Eve more than Christmas Day....and with typical South American style. We invite all our closest family friends over to one of our houses - which usually ends up coming to around 40 - 50 people. We get on the piss (start drinking) from around 11am, light up the barbeque and cook a mean asado, down more whiskey, eat the asado, start doing shots, pull a few cheeky cones on the side of the house away from the rest of the visitors and then congregate around the mountain of presents under the designated tree and watch everyone tear open their gifts. Realistically, the last part is more for the kids. The adults, at that point, are too busy trying to stay awake.

Christmas Day is recovery mode for everyone. Last Christmas I was still so wrecked from the night before I slept in the tub and didn't wake up out of there until around 4:30pm on Christmas Day. I'm gonna TRY and not have a repeat of that this year.

But its gonna happen anyway...I know it will...

FN Monday back to the grind, sinus pressure headaches all Thanksgiving holiday and magically they dissappear this morning, glad they are gone but man how spitefull is that, lol, like my body senses I don't have to work and goes into extreme headache mode. Thanks goodness I found an old pill bottle with a muscle relaxer in it last night, because I was ready to give in to the pain and jump off the Coleman Bridge lol. Morning rant, sorry! Now I will down coffee and sooze myself to the sounds of Corey's soundcloud while I create some new map layers, Woohoo!!!
