Why all this hate for "amazing" when we really should be targeting those who use "literally", and have no realization what they are saying.

People who don't use the word "figuratively" properly are literally the biggest idiots who've ever lived.
Since there was no alternative offered by the O.P. in his complaint, maybe I'll just use my name, i.e., "That bass is Steve"!, "Your band sounds really Steve!", "We had a Steve time playing that show!"

I am all for banning the word 'Brilliant' to describe some guy who can hit, throw , catch or dunk a ball over some other dudes.
Brilliant: the engineering and execution of getting guys to the moon & back, curing cancer, heart surgery. Stuff like that.

Fantastic has become a word that I have fun with often.

I agree to a certain extent, but like previously stated in this thread by someone else, "literally" being used incorrectly is 10x more annoying.
Now, I did see someone use the word "amazeballs" in a CList ad the other day. It was an ad for something I actually wanted but I didn't respond just because of that ridiculous word being used.
