Strange goingsons while I'm gone...

Here's the deal... I'm in Guam on a deployment for the Air National Guard. The band has actually practiced a few times, but they don't seem very productive and I think two of the members might be hooking up. My buddy told me that he was going over to our keyboard players house (female, nothing kinky...) at midnight to jam, and didn't get home until 2:00 in the afternoon the next day. He said nothing happened, but I'm not so sure. He also told me that she's dating some guy that's like 30 and married(she's 22...). I mentioned it to my wife, and she's not thrilled about it. I never should have left. Not that I really had a choice, but still...

I wouldn't worry, it was probably late when they finished jaming he probably fell a sleep.:eyebrow:

Even if they are, who cares? It's a little ridiculous to worry about what your bandmates do while you're on deployment. Do your Guam thing, and be thankful it's not your wife you have to worry about. :)

PS: They're totally doing it.

Ive heard so many stories about two band members getting together and then one or the other leaves because they break up, or the whole band breaks up. I guess I just like things the way they are, and the group that we have, and don't want anything to change. Oh well, only a week left here and I can figure out what the deal is.

You're totally right about that, the chances of them ending as friends is slim, and it probably will end in one or more band members leaving the roost. But, there's nothing you can really do about it, except take the side of the musician you'd rather keep.

This is why I never play in bands with girls (notice I didn't say "women").

No matter what, someone, at some point, WILL try to hook up with her. Its inevitable and the band will implode.

She's 22 and attractive? He went there at midnight and came home at 2pm? Yeah...they're banging. See, that's just enough time for a real late night of hanging out, maybe a couple beers to loosen up, bang, sleep in, wake up, bang, and go out to lunch.

I agree with the other posters...be happy its not your wife. And start looking for other people to play with.

Your 22 year old female keyboard player is dating married guys and also potentially hooking up with guys in the band and your wife isn't thrilled? In other news, the sky is blue.... :)

Worrying about it only effects you. Doesn't change the situation.

If its just a hook up, that probably bodes better then an actual attempt at a relationship. I've done the chick in the band a couple of times (fortunately many years ago before I became smart) and once it was just a one-nighter and no big whoop, for both of us. A couple of times started as horny young'uns and then we thought we liked each other. Until we started to spend every single second together because of the band situation then our relationship. I left those bands, but of course they fell apart.

If it bothers you that much, I'm thinking that maybe you have feelings for the chick yourself.

Dude...you have to get out if you want your marriage to live through it, right? All your wife hears is you're playing with a home-wrecker looking for band mates to "play" with. In my experience, even if your wife "understands", she's not going to really understand.

I know what you mean. John Lennon and Yoko Ono hooking up was the worst thing that could have happened to the Plastic Ono Band.

...now that's funny
