if only those 2x10 AVs were 4Ω! it would be a simple matter to re-wire one to switch to 16Ω, plop it on top of the 8Ω 4x10he cab, and make yourself a nice sealed 5.3Ω SVT 6x10 cab (which ampeg so needs to do) with all six speakers getting equal power.

haven't played it, but isn't it basically a 6x10 version of the ported 410HLF rumblemonster? i was thinking a straight-up vintage-style sealed SVT 6x10 (maybe even with the separate internal chambers) would be a no-brainer for ampeg, but there isn't one.

There isn't, but you are in luck if you're in the market because I used a recently-made 610hlf on a gig last summer, and it's way closer in sound to the SVT 810e than the SVT 410hlf. I think what's going on there is that whereas the 410hlf is a big giant 410 with ports, the 610hlf has a smaller cubic volume per speaker than either the 810e or 410hlf, and the ports add in low end that it wouldn't have if it were sealed. I have no clue what the real cubic volumes are but it's pretty obvious that the 610hlf is narrower and shorter than the 810e.

I know right? oh well, i figured i would do it in case anyone stumbles across this and wants even more confirmation that the 210av is a good cab that can cop the 810 sound pretty well

That sounds like a good explanation to me. In fact, to me, that sounds exactly like the way the 212AV achieves that "810e like" tone. It's ported, but has less cubic volume so it cops some characteristic tone of a sealed cab. All that IMO though - I may be way off that 212 thought!
