Strap 'distorting' my clothes

No what material is it?

I use a nice suede leather strap that's wide (4") so it basically engulfs my shoulder.
I have no problems with it.

Maybe it's the fabric, poor stitching, or a combination of both.
A quality strap solves the problems like you have and the weight issue so many of us face I got an ATK305 so if that thing start catching at my clothes my wardrobe for the evening would be changing after each set.

I think it's time for a big boy strap.

Are you scrawny? I am- particularly in the uppers, no pecs whatsoever- and have the same issue.

Yes, I am. Maybe I should 'hit the gym' as those morons at Jersey Shore say it. :ninja:

But anyway, yeah, the strap is kinda sucky. It was real cheap and the bass has some neck dive, but I don't think that has got anything to do with it...

A pic with the problem is in the attachements...

Get a bass with less neck dive?
I don't think this is it- not for me, anyway. My main player is a MIM P that hangs nicely, but moving around ends up jacking the shirt into a wad. I get the same thing regardless of bass- a Thumb BO-4(divey), Jazz 5(very slightly dive-ish)or Stambaugh 6(no diving).
See if you can try out a few straps w/your bass. Wider ones sort of help, but they don't mesh w/my barely-there shoulders well. :atoz: Steroids maybe..?
