Straps?

Hi i dont know if i am in the right forum but,
does anyone know where i can find a good comfortable strap ?

i am using a cheap strap and it hurts my shoulder and back...

do you guys think if i get a sponged and a width'er strap will help me ?

any recommendations ?

thanks :bassist:

I haven't used one of the neoprene padded straps the "comfort strapp," but people here seem to swear by them.

For playing heavier instruments and/or longer sets I have a 3" or so wide, VERY soft and supple leather strap that I use.

+1

I use 3" split leather straps. That supple thing takes a while, but they're rugged, non slip, and I've never had issues with shoulder pain.

I've had one since the late 1980's and I love it, for sure.

Italia, Moody, or Levy's [if you want cheaper].

I got my Italia Wide 5 on Ebay for something ridiculously low $30 or so. For that price, it's amazing. For $50-60 it's pretty good. I trimmed a few of the corners down once i got it so that they wouldn't poke me while playing. Other than that-i love it.

For a cheaper strap [not by much]-i'd go for a Levy's M6 or whatever their current widest strap is. I've got an M6 that i swore by until i got my Italia.
