strat knobs with set screws

Hey guys.

Know where I can get some traditional looking strat knobs that have set screws?

Basically, I don't want chromed metal strat type knobs... I'm looking for white knobs with gold text, just like the plastic ones, but I want to use them on push-pull pots, so they would need to have set screws.

I've had trouble finding such a knob. Maybe they don't exist.

Hey - I bought a set of the black knobs for my Jazz that had set screws from Fender.

I too thought I needed that version for my Series/Parallel switch, and they worked fine.

All you need to do is put a small piece of hard plastic in the slot and use the setscrew in line with the slot, not 90º to it.

That way you won't crush the slot.

But I took a shot for the OP anyway - still can't find any white nor antique white nor even ivory setscrew types, and I've been on a mission trying to find them.

That doesn't make sense. Push/pulls are almost always split-shaft, which means you won't want set screws if you can help it.

I had a push/pull pot with a strat style knob once. The knob would pull off before the pot pulled up. A set screw definitely would have helped.

And there's no rule against filling the slot with plastic.
