Hey there fellow TBers.

I have the opportunity to buy a GB Streamliner 900 for 500-600 $AUS.
I'd be pairing it with the Genz Benz xb2 610 cab.
Does anyone have any videos or demos of this combination I can view or listen to. Or has anyone used this set up before and can share some insights. I can't find anything on the web to get an idea of what I'd be getting into.

I'll be using it for Bon Scott era ACDC covers.

My basses are;
Fender P players series
Maton JB4 bass.
Ibanez SR405QM.
No effects pedals or rack mounted extras.

Cheers in advance.

I have used a Streamliner with 2 GB Focus 112 cabinets and it's a lovely head. Warm, focus, big booty, gobs or power. I've not used the 6x10 cab you're referring to but I'd imagine it would outperform what I used.
Yes on the head!

I'm a big fan of the Streamliner, but the EQ is very different and you may have to play with it a lot to get your tone. Also cabs make a big difference on that head so the XB2 should be good with it. Here is a link to the Tone Primer thread that should help you out quite a bit. You're going to see a lot of variations of EQ in there.

I have never played through one, but have admired their tone(s) on several occasions. There is a reason why a megathread exists. They are beloved. IMHO, if a guy were wealthy and ordinarily gigging a boutiquey head, it would make sense to put a Streamliner under the car seat as a spare, and forget about it. Then, if the boutiquey head ever fails at a gig, then remember.
