Streamliner

Who's still using and digging the Genz Benz Streamliner? My 900 still holds its own with some stiff competition especially with the sealed cab.

I am. Best amp I have ever played through. When I use it with a 4x12 cabinet it is the bass sound I have always heard in my head for my bass.Very satisfied.

Yep. I use my SVTs most of the time but the SL gets it's share of use . Great amp. I'll never need another micro head.

Absolutely. It's all about pairing with the right cabs and bass. I use the streamliner to tame super aggressive cabs or basses, it's the best for that

yeah, I had the wrong cabs for that head (ported Genz Benz 410XB or BergHD112s). Love that amp solo- couldn't stand it live (couldn't for the life of me to find any articulation in the mids). I agree it's a cab lover or hater. I bet with cabs that struggle to find low end and are mid heavy it would kick arse

1000% correct... GK NEO 115s are EXACTLY that

I just think its important to throw out this qualifier on the streamliner as many people were disappointed in this amp due to bad pairings

Anyone think Aguilar DB would be a good match for the STL? They are pretty burly in the mids.

My GK Neo 410 (ported) has plenty of low end and is a bit light on the mids, but it sounds super (one of my bandmates said, "massive!") with the STM-900.

I have a GK Neo 115, as well, so I do have to agree with that one.

Still, the Streamliner and the 410 paring performs exceptionally well for jazz, blues and classic rock; this with a Gibson Midtown with GHS PFs and an Eminence 5-string.

Love this amp for the features and overall quality (great DI, great built in HPF...).
With the right settings and cab (Berg HS 210), it's the best tone I've ever had on a live. However, it's quite a picky amp in the cab department. Would never match it with a modern "scooped" ported cab.

If anything, with a Pbass w/flats, there may be even too much going on in the mids for someone! No lack of articulation at all, and I'm coming from a GK 700RB II which is definately not muddy.

Many differing types of sound are possible. Some more compatible with lower-end, ported cabs than others.

i do I do... Not oly does the amp sound good but teh Di can double as a recording Preamp its nice
