String Advice

Hello guys. I have Cort GB24JJ GB24JJ and i broke the e string last week. Could you give me an advice which string i should purchase? this gonna be my very first buying a string. Thank You

Did you tune the e an octave higher by mistake? Almost impossible to break an e.

How did you break the E string?

He might of tuned it an octave higher by accident or it was a very old string. Also check for any sharp edges around the saddle, nut, tuning hole.

I personally think every rock bassist needs to try Rotosound stainless steel Swing Bass at some point or another. No idea if you are a rock bassist, but I might even say that goes for other genres as well.

Not even need be a rock bassist, but yes it's been used for a while for rock, "heavy" music, and whatever for good reason. Whenever I try other long scale stainless or nickel plated steel sets, I keep going back to Roto 66s. Love its cutting mids, the way they age over time, and even the sometimes maligned feel under the fingers. It just has its own sound and feel, for better or worse, and if it resonates with your music and/or playing style, it's hard to find "better" elsewhere-though I am sure many do!
