I could not make myself play a set of strings for years. It's a badge of honor for bass players. Lol

I change strings every 3 months(ish). I can’t imagine going years.
I did have a set of DR Lo-Riders on a Yamaha from 2014 to 2017 and only changed them as I thought I should even though they still sounded great. That's the longest I've probably gone. Love the sound of a new set of strings. Enjoy your new strings!

It’s probably been about 2.5 years on he previous set. I do prefer a worn in sound to brand new but there’s no doubt I left it too long to change.
My playing has got a real bounce today. I gave the rosewood fingerboard a bit off a treat too, a good clean and a bit of lemon oil.

They were rounds. So are the new ones.
I like rounds as for me they’re more versatile and I can always EQ them to taste.
