I have picked up a few basses over the past month, and just swapped my own preferred strings on them. A couple of the basses had name strings on them that were pretty fresh, and another had fresh rounds, but I don't know what kind they were.
I know strings can be resold, especially name brands, fresh ones and flats, but do any of you know of a way to donate strings? Bass strings can of course be expensive, and I'm sure there are players out there who aren't in a position to often buy new strings who could really use a set of free, slightly used strings.
