Double Bass string donations for Cubans?

Similar to two years ago, I'm heading to Cuba for a week near the end of February.

If anyone has some old strings to donate, i'm sure they'll be appreciated. since i have more time this time around, i'm planning on buying some new nylon guitar strings to bring along too.

i'll definitely take electric bass strings. like i said, i'm planning on getting some nylon guitar strings, as last time the guitar player had a guitar meant for nylon strings, but all he had was 3 steel strings, and 2 were tuned in unison. definitely limiting his playing.

I have a brand spanking new set of Super Sensitive Red Labels somewhere, but I'd hate to damage US-Cuban relations by subjecting Cuban bassists to those POS strings.

Thank you to DHoss and iiipopes for sending out the strings, and thanks to everyone who was generous enough to offer strings, even if the logistics of getting the strings to me didn't work out. i'll just have to book another trip to cuba.

There will be some very happy cuban bass players in the next few days!
