String End Wrap On Nut

The end user is the final link in the QC chain. Not contacting the company does not allow them to investigate the root cause of why these strings get past their in house QA/QC and rectify it. It's critical to all companies.

This.

However, I'll add that posting on social media IS NOT the same as contacting the company directly about the issue. I'm lucky in that I can monitor a number of forums during the day, but that's not the norm. Contacting companies directly is always the better way to get things resolved.

Right.
As I posted earlier in this same thread (post #6):

If we don't report these errors, we don't allow the companies to improve their quality control. That feedback loop is absolutely critical to maintain consistent quality for everyone.

Right, but most confuse the two (contacting directly, and posting online) as the same thing, which they're not.

I'm surprised by that, but I am old and do not use social media, unless this is social media. Then I guess I do.

But, yeah, not sure why you would go to social media to fix someone else's problem.

However, forums are endlessly useful for helping to understand if you actually have a problem or not (refer to my first post in this thread).
