String gauges for a 10 string bass?

Link Removed
(they also have steels).
Or build from singles here [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]
Or use any brand of bass singles for F#BEADGC and add D'Addario 'loop end' plain steel strings (which are very long and cheap) for the top 3, but you will need to add your own improvised ball-ends.
What tuning do you want?

Not sure, was thinking about pulling the trigger but figured I’d better do a little research to see if I can restring it when it needs it... and on the first link, do you have to buy the strings individually, or do they come in a pack?

The first link leads to complete sets, on each set page there are per-string checkboxes but as long as all boxes are ticked you get the whole set.
Kalium don't have pre-packaged sets because they are mail order only and assemble each set from singles on order. This means you can order a custom set of singles from them at no extra cost.
There are several sources for ERB strings and workarounds too so don't worry about being able to restring it. The worst case scenario is buying F#BEADGC bass singles (many big brands do low F# strings now) and 3 custom extra-long plain steel strings (which will be cheap and easy to manufacture).

I have one of these Dean 10 string basses

. I asked the same question. I got this reply then ordered the recommended strings .

Posted by Aidil. From my post on Talk bass enquiring about strings for my 10string Dean bass.

"the D'Addario 8 string octave set plus low B & octave B singles makes more sense. It's easy enough to purchase D'Addario .120 or .125 low B and its octave .060 singles."

I ordered the above strings as recommended. I went with the 120 from Bass Strings Online.

They were exact. sounded great. Excellent service. The person running it goes by Slap-n-funk. He is a member on TB.
