string id help please

i just got a new 6 string bass with round wound strings and no silk at either end. the ball on the A is white (not silver but painted white) the ball on the d is black, and all the rest are gold. any thoughts?

Sounds like a mixture of different strings. I don't know of any factory sets of any brand with those specific ball end colors.

I should also add I just remembered Dunlop was substituting the silver ball with a white one in some sets during the pandemic. The mention of "white" is what threw me off at first, but it all makes sense now.

Here's another thread from earlier this year, where the OP talks about a "coated white ball end". As I mentioned earlier, Dunlop did use a white one in place of the silver.
