These flatwounds may be 5-10 years old. In my mind I thought they were d'Addario, but d'Addario don't seem to use silks at all, at least currently. Should have kept the packaging. Purple silks at both ends as I hope you can see. Apologies for my pic resizing lack of skill. These are just right flats in my opinion.

Purple silk at both ends... Those look to me like Ernie Ball Cobalt Flats (aka Slinky Flatwound).

By the way, D'Addario Chromes Flats still do come with blue silk at both ends, and color-coded ball ends, gold-red-black-green (E-G).

Thanks! I recall buying some Ernie Ball strings now, I bet it was them, now if I only knew exactly the gauge! Guess I need a micrometer? I usually just play - not bother with the rest of the details!
