I misread and didn't measure from silk to ball end. I guess it's about an extra inch of silk. Looks like the Ken Smith strings though. I'd always thought they were totally purple silks. Thank you all for the help!
The B string is about 36 3/4 from silk to silk and has a silver ball end. The other strings have gold ball ends and are around 37 1/2 to 37 3/4". It is a 34 1/2" scale on the bass.
Thanks for the info. 34.5" scale... That would explain why those strings appear shorter. 36.75" for the B and 37.75" for the rest would qualify them for being Ken Smith.
That's why I asked earlier about the scale length on the bass.
