This isn't a bad idea for a song or two but if your band always plays in that lower tuning, well, no offense, but that suggestion is psychotic. Also, if it was an originals band and it was only "a song or two," I'd just get a 2nd bass. Playing a cover people know and using imperfect pitch shifting for that is one thing. If people are hearing it for the first time, unless slight glitchiness is your aim, then that makes zero sense.Use a drop pedal to get to the tuning u want. U can use standard strings with normal tension and tune to what ever u wantZ
Ugh. I meant thousandths...two more hundreths of an inch

I run an equal tension nickel hybrid drop set from Kalium. Took two reminders and a month to get them. I started at these gauges at .142 / .094 / .070 / .051 and sit in the 42 lb range (34” scale). Felt good but a little tight. I set up my Modulus Q5 (35” scale) in drop G in .168 / .110 / .082 / .061 / .045 (39 lbs) and truly loved the tension so I made a new set to the same a similar tension (39lbs) and those are .136 / .090 / .067 / .047 and it’s great.
My tech used the term “God tier” haha.Good lord. I want to hear that drop G Modulus! Sounds downright tectonic
